Mission Statement

Our mission is to guide and support our members, ensuring they are well-prepared to excel throughout their time at Texas A&M and beyond.

What We Do

Mays Trailblazers meets on a weekly basis, typically bringing in one speaker per week from a popular career field at Mays.

When joining Mays Trailblazers, you will be placed in a cohort with other freshman business students. The cohort will meet on a weekly basis to learn about different careers out of Mays Business School, including investment banking, consulting, trading, and product management. Outside of weekly meetings, Trailblazers plans to hold socials, dinners, and other types of events to create a strong, tight-knit community. Although the group formally meets once a week, there will be constant communication for the entirety of the semester.

Our Meeting Structure

What a typical meeting looks like

Team-Building Activity

To begin each meeting, we will have a fun 10 minute team-building activity where cohort members will get to work together on a fun exercise. These will include icebreakers, brain-teasers, and other fun competitive games

Speaker event

For the next 30 minutes, we will have an upperclassmen speaker present on their career pursuit. This is the longest section of the meeting, and is designed to teach members about different careers in Mays. Speakers will present their current college journey, and provide benefits & challenges of their career.

Questions

The last 20 minutes of the meeting will allow members to ask any questions. We encourage members to ask as many questions as possible to gain better insights on different career opportunities.
